Getting ready to launch the Jukebox API

We’re getting ready to go live with the Jukebox system. The whole system is working end-to-end, but there are still a lot of improvements we know we have to make. Please get in touch if you are interested in trying out our technology and becoming an early adopter – we’re keen that we get Game Developers really exercising the Jukebox functionality so we can see where the cracks lie 🙂

Currently there are a number of known flaws/problems; and these are as follows:

  1. The Playlist Tester on the Jukebox web-site doesn’t work on all browsers. This is because the browser tries to playback the original file that was uploaded, rather than an appropriate format for the browser in question. The underlying functionality to support this has now been deployed, and we hope to fix this issue in the next few days.
  2. The Playlist management UX is terrible. We know… this was a prototype version of the UX which works, but which doesn’t look very nice. We are planning on overhauling our whole web UX very soon, and this will be the first page to get a proper make-over.
  3. The Jukebox Unity plug-in has only been tested on a PC and a Mac. The mono version should work on other platforms (such as iOS and Android) but we haven’t tested this yet.
